Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and disclosed by CO/COUNSEL, Inc. (“CO/COUNSEL”), with respect to your access and use of our mobile application, website domain and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using CO/COUNSEL, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy, and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions described herein, including CO/COUNSEL’s Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.

We also may receive information from third party applications and devices which you connect to our Service via the mobile application and website.

Information You Provide to Us

When you use the Service, limited information is collected about you based on what you provide in your CO/COUNSEL account. You consent to sharing any information, including personal information, you provide to CO/COUNSEL or through the Service. You understand that when you choose to interact with third parties through the Service, your personal information, content, and data can be provided to these third parties.

Other services provided by third parties may be integrated with the Service. The information we may collect from your third party accounts depends on what information you provide on those accounts and the privacy settings you've set. In the future, CO/COUNSEL may integrate with additional third party services.

For example, if the Service is integrated with Facebook, we may receive information from Facebook, including your name, age, location, gender, profile picture, and friends. Please be aware that Facebook’s information is subject to their Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. The information we collect from your Facebook account would depend on what information you provide those accounts and the privacy settings you've set.

Information Learned From your Use of CO/COUNSEL

CO/COUNSEL may gather and analyze your actions on the Service in order to derive or infer aggregate statistics characteristics that may be descriptive of not just you, but of a broader category of people (for example, when someone is likely to visit a venue or the day of the week they are likely to engage in a certain activity). This derived information is anonymized and used to improve and personalize any potential CO/COUNSEL advertising and recommendation services for you and other users.

How We Share Your Information with Others

CO/COUNSEL will not share the personal information we have collected from you, except as described below:

  • When you give us your consent to do so, for example, when CO/COUNSEL tells you that the information you provide will be shared in some way and you provide CO/COUNSEL that information;

  • In connection with any merger, transfer or sale of company assets, financing, acquisition, or similar transaction or circumstance; or
  • To enforce or apply CO/COUNSEL’s Privacy Policy, Terms of Use or other CO/COUNSEL policies or agreements.

Do Not Track

Do Not Track (DNT) is a privacy preference users can set if they do not want web services to collect information about their online activity. However, there is currently no universal standard for sending and receiving DNT signals. Due to this lack of universal standard, it would be impossible for CO/COUNSEL to promise that we comply with all known and unknown DNT standards.

Therefore, CO/COUNSEL does not in any way monitor or respond to DNT signals or other mechanisms that provide a choice regarding the collection of personally identifiable information about activities over time and across different Web sites or online services.

If a universal standard for DNT becomes available we may revisit our DNT Policy.

The Service may be directly integrated with other services and third parties, enabling users to share information and data stored on the Service with these third party applications and social media sites. Users are responsible for the content they choose to share, and are bound by the respective terms of service and privacy policy for each social networking service. CO/COUNSEL has no responsibility to provide or maintain integration with any particular third party service.
